Fire Blast Assassin

The Fire Blast Assassin is an extremely unconventional and challenging build that focuses on the early fire trap skill Fire Blast as its primary damage source. Unlike other trap builds that use projectile-shooting sentries, Fire Blast creates proximity-triggered explosive traps that detonate when enemies approach. While Fire Blast is typically just a prerequisite skill, this build attempts to maximize its potential through creative play and heavy +skills investment. This is considered one of the most difficult and experimental Assassin builds. First start by adding a point to the following skills: Death Sentry, Lightning Sentry, Charged Bolt Sentry, Shock Web, Fade, Burst of Speed, Shadow Master, Clock Of Shadows, Mind Blast and Claw Mastery. Next you max out the following: Fire Blast, Wake of Fire and Wake of Inferno. Extra points can be added to Burst of Speed.

For your Attributes, you can add as much Strength as required for your gear. Enough Dexterity for Max Block if using a Shield, else you need to put nothing into Energy and dump the rest into Vitality.

For your Weapon, go for a Rare Claw with 3 Trap and 3 Fire Blast or Wake of Fire. You can also get a Heart of the Oak. You can use both hands for claws in this build, no need for Shield. If you do go for a Max Block build, get yourself a Spirit Monarch or a StormShield. Armor, you ll need an Enigma or you can go for a Chains of Honor. Helmet, you can go for a Shako or a Rare Circlet with 2 to skills and 20 Faster Cast Rate. Gloves, you can go for a Magefist or a Laying of Hand. Belt, go for Arachnid Mesh. Boots you can get Sandstorm Trek or a War Traveler for more Magic Find. Rings, get yourself Stone of Jordan or Rare Rings with Faster Cast Rate. Amulet, please get a Mara's Kaleidoscope or a Crafted Amulet with 2 skills and 20 Faster Cast Rate.

For your inventory, get a HellFire Torch and an Annihilus Charm. Next go for a few Trap Skill Charms and some Small Charms with Resistances, Life and/or Faster Hit Recovery.

Act 2 Mercenary for this build with Infinity in a Thresher base. Helmet, Vampire Gaze or Andariel's Visage. Armor, Ethereal Archon Plate Fortitude or a Threachery.
