Gold Find Barb Build

The Gold Find Barbarian (Goldfinder) is a specialized farming build that maximizes gold acquisition through high gold find percentages and the Find Item skill for corpse popping. Whirlwind provides reliable clearing ability while Find Item doubles your corpse interaction for maximum gold efficiency. This build excels at accumulating wealth for funding other characters and expensive gear.

First thing to do is allocate 1 point in the following Skills: Bash, Sword Mastery, Axe Mastery, Mace Mastery, Polearm Mastery, Throwing Mastery, Spear Mastery, Howl, Taunt, Shout, Battle Cry, Battle Orders, Grim Ward, War Cry, Battle Command, Find Potion, Find Item, Leap, Leap Attack, Concentrate, Berserk, Whirlwind, Iron Skin, Natural Resistance, and Increased Stamina. After this max out the following Skills: Whirlwind, Weapon Mastery (matching your weapon type), Battle Orders, Find Item, Find Potion. With your extra points, continue maxing Sword Mastery (or appropriate weapon mastery) and then Shout for additional defense.

When it comes to your Attributes, start with acquiring a Hellfire Torch and an Annihilus Charm. Put those in your inventory and then add Strength, enough to wear your gear. Dexterity should be minimal unless you need it for weapon requirements. Energy is not necessary, the rest of your points should go into Vitality for survivability during farming runs.

Best Weapon choices include Grief Runeword in a Phase Blade for high damage and speed, or Last Wish Runeword for the Life Tap proc and Fade aura. Budget options include Oath Runeword or rare weapons with high damage. Shield wise, you can use Spirit for the bonuses or go Dual-Wield with two weapons for maximum attack speed. When it comes to your Armor, Wealth Runeword in an Archon Plate base is Best in Slot for pure gold find, providing 300% Extra Gold and 100% Magic Find. Alternative options include Skullder's Ire for magic find or Enigma for teleport mobility. Helmet, Harlequin Crest is excellent for the life, mana, and magic find, or you can use Arreat's Face for barbarian-specific bonuses. For Gloves, Laying of Hands provides attack speed and damage to demons, or Chance Guards for magic find. For the Belt, Goldwrap is perfect with 30% Extra Gold and magic find bonuses. When it comes to Boots, War Traveler is standard for Magic Find and the strength/vitality bonuses. Rings, Nagelring provides excellent magic find, and you can pair it with Stone of Jordan for skills and mana. Amulet you can opt for Mara's Kaleidoscope for resistances and skills, Tal Rasha's Adjudication for magic find, or a rare amulet with magic find, gold find, and resistances.

For your inventory, focus on Magic Find Small Charms with 7% Magic Find and resistances or life. Gold Find Small Charms are also valuable if available. Barbarian Skill Charms with life bonuses help with survivability. Gheeds Fortune is essential for the Magic Find, Gold Find, and reduced vendor prices.

Mercenary wise, an Act 2 Nightmare Offensive mercenary with Might Aura works well. For Weapon, Infinity in a Thresher base breaks immunities, or Insight for mana support. Helmet options include Vampire Gaze for damage reduction and life leech, or Andariel's Visage for attack speed and strength. Armor you want an Ethereal Fortitude in an Archon Plate or Sacred Armor base for maximum damage support.
